A bankruptcy judge accused two lawyers and their law firm of filing false claims that they had an interest in the company they represented during a bankruptcy. The judge said the claim was “scurrilous” and “inappropriate.”

The US Constitution provides for the right to a jury trial in all federal criminal cases; however, in US bankruptcy courts, there is no such right.
